Anticipation
I’m the casual Truebie, I have been out of watching True Blood and absolutely dying to watch it on a regular basis again. Perhaps I am not the most qualified person to say this but, is it me or is this season the hottest and carnal of the three seasons?
First of all, with the second season ending with Bill being kidnapped (yes, I know this is all old news), Eggs having died by Jason trying to protect Andy unknowingly, and Jessica feeding off of an unsuspecting truck driver, all points to the third season having to not only tie up quite a few undone knots, but also add some more additional fan appeal.
Secondly, when Sookie finds Eric “indisposed” with his new dancer, it shows how he can be purely lustful. Also, the Queen, what more is there to say about her? There is corruption in politics even in the Vampire world. Many examples in the episodes and mini-episodes point to this season ascending to even greater levels of temptation and allure.
I am also happy to say that I am now getting more and more up to date with regards to season three.
All of this is ancient news to those who keep up with the television show and the books to the letter and scene, but I ask you Truebie’s and Fangbangers (to give guidance to those of us who are casual drinkers of the red elixir), what other scenes of sensuality and violence will we continue to see in this season? (Not too many spoilers please!) On another note, just as a musical artist might crossover from one genre to the next, is TrueBlood also trying to branch out to larger audiences through gradually introducing elements featured in so many other Vampire entertainment?

Werewolves play a big part in the third book of the series. I don’t think they are trying to widen there boarders by introducing the wolves but rather following the plot line of the book.
