Bill’s Trial: I So Wanna Know

When Eric comes for Bill to bring him in for Longshadow’s death, he says he hadn’t looked into the possibility
to avoid a vampire trial. The usual punishment for Bill’s crime would be 5 years locked up in a silver coffin with the risk of loosing one’s mind. I may be naive, but somehow I think Eric wouldn’t like that solution. I have the impression he rather enjoys executing his power on Bill.
innocence is part of Bill’s punishment. First I even thought she didn’t have any potential for becoming a good vampire. Also the fact that she is not chosen by her maker but forced upon him impedes their relationship. Bill and Jessica really have a bad start.Obviously, Bill becoming a maker is a development Eric strongly advocates. Moreover, Eric wants Bill to be under his dominion and to embrace vampire ways.
You think that’s too far-fetched?

wow i never even thought about it that way but i totaly agree
I agree totally. I suspected Eric a long way go… such a tricky one!
Yeah i suspected that Eric had some involvement because loads of vampires take pride in being makers and have like no conscience; therefore turning someone would not feel like a punishment, especially compared to five years in a silver coffin! Therefore they must have known about Bill, and that to Bill taking an innocent girls life (as Bill saw it) would torture and punish him just as much as the coffin. I mean we have seen Erics sneaky and tricksy side.
Sorry about my little rant lol
