Characters for Season 3
There is alot of mish-mash about season three but I’ve got a little bit of news. (If you already haven’t heard.)
There are a few new characters for season three, assuming that they will keep these characters. For those who don’t know their names are Alcide, Debbie Pelt and Russel Edgington. They have chosen an actor to play Russel. Dennis O’hare will be the lucky man who will play the gay southern gentleman and king of mississippi, Russel Edgington

There are plenty of Actors that have been mentioned to play Alcide but none are chosen. Her are the nominees…
Henry Cavill: If The Tudors‘ other heartthrob can look that good in tights and frilly shirts, we can’t imagine he’d fare worse with back hair front and back. The question is, could he rock the role without an English accent?
Benjamin Bratt: The former Cleaner star may seem a little long in the tooth to strike up the necessary chemistry with Anna Paquin, whose Sookie he helps search for Bill. But remember, her currently-MIA almost-fiance is hundreds of years older!
Steven Strait: Since he’s modeled for Details and Vogue, it’s a given that the Stop-Loss and 10,000 BC vet has tall, dark and handsome down pat. But does he have the chops to pull off a compelling performance in canine chompers?
Jeffrey Dean Morgan: Thanks to a little show on The CW as well as a certain Grey’s Anatomy “ghost” story, supernatural hoo-ha is old hat to Denny’s portrayer. Trouble is, coming off slightly mad, occasionally bad and potentially dangerous isn’t Alcide.
Ben Browder: Part romantic lead, part action hero, the SyFy mainstay (Farscape, Stargate SG-1) could play Alcide in his sleep. But as with Bratt, his age could be an issue.
Cam Gigandet: One glance at this Twilight vamp and you think, “Here comes trouble.” Unfortunately for Ball and Co., movie casting directors generally seem to also think, “Here comes our Next Big Thing.” So he’s about as likely to be available for hire as Eric is for breakfast.

The actresses that have been nominated to play Debbie are…
Milla Jovovich: She’s the heroine in the Resident Evil flicks. But is she Debbie?
Katharine Isabelle: How perfect an option is this Supernatural alum? She’s gorgeous, snarky, and in the first of the Ginger Snaps movies, she didn’t just play a werewolf’s honey, she played the werewolf herself.
Shakira: Come to think of it, the hip-swiveling She-Wolf might not be a bad choice for the role. Certainly, her animal instincts are the stuff of legend. Then again, how would Alan Ball feel about a Debbie who talks like Charo?
Sarah Brown: Though the Daytime Emmy winner just signed on to join The Bold and the Beautiful when her run on General Hospital is over, the CBS sudser is known to be cool about loaning out its cast.
Krysten Ritter: Once Veronica Mars classmate, this romcom perennial (27 Dresses, Confessions of a Shopaholic) often wears an expression that makes me think she’s one broken nail away from a meltdown.
Katie Holmes: Okay, she finally got us to stop thinking of her as Joey Potter. Now she needs to get us to stop thinking of her as Mrs. Tom Cruise. Baring her metaphorical claws opposite a leading man with literal fangs might just do the trick.
Personally I think Milla Jojovitch and, of course, Hugh Jackman. Who do you think should play the two characters?

Are these actors the real nominates for the roles or are they your choice?
Personnaly I think Hugh Jackmann is great of course, but Henry Cavill is my favorite. And for the women I would choose Krysten Ritter, with short red hair since she’s a werefox (reading the story I imagined her with red hair), she would be perfect.
Um, you have Alyson Hannigan’s pic up for Katherine Isabelle. FYI.
lol i noticed that too..though alyson would probably be really funny as debbie she is a great comedic actress
I like Milla as Debbie, she is just so good at portraying that “What, Bitch?” attitude which would be perfect for Debbie. And I think that Henry Cavill guy as Alcide would be good.

The same for Debbie. The info on Dennis O’ Hare has been floating around for a while.

And the ginger women from ‘Buffy’, isn’t her name like Alison Hannigan or something? But I think that Krysten Ritter should play Debbie, she has the right look.

Ok… so I was just telling a friend of mine that the guy from P.S. I Love You (Ben Browder) should be Alcide. He sooo fit’s the description. And he’s hot!!! He’s got that sexy look for the character. He should definately be Alcide, no questions asked.
Ok, ok… forgot to put my input for the Debbie Pelt character. I think it should be if having to choose one of these girls, should be Milla Jovovich.

Henry Cavill would be waaaayyy too young looking to play alcide. he should look a little older but rugged and super fit.
I would love to see chace crawford as alcide, i think he would be awesome (and great eye candy), think he should look around the same age as sookie (anna) i think he would be able to do a real good job :]

wow did you not read what they said, there are new characters that will be introduced noone is leaving, you will still have sookie and bill and eric and all the rest but will also have alcide, and debbie and a few other new ones

All the guys shown here, other than then maybe Ben Browder are nothing what I pictured Alcide to be as I was reading the books. My oppinion he should be of some stature. Thick and broard shoulder. I would love to see Gerard Butler play Alcide.

To be honest, I couldnt give a toss – as long as Alcide and Debbie are actually portrayed as characters in Series 3, I dont care who plays them. From the information I have read on-line, they aren’t in the 3rd season – BOO! Alan Ball – bring on Alcide and Debbie!

I agree, that Henry Cavill with black hair would still be sexy, he has just enough rough exterior for playing a werewolf and I’m sure with great acting skills he could pull off an English accent. He is my choice for Alcide, even though Hugh Jackman would truly be the best.
My choice for Debbie would be Milla Jovovich.

People love that show too much to go without it for so long. I was thinking it would be 2 months at the most because they would be filming 3 already. Very disappointing

I think Stephen Strait has the right sort of look to play Alcide but he is to scrawny, Hugh Jackman would be fab tho!!!
In the book Debbie has black hair cut all funny and I imagined her to look a bit like krysten ritter so I pick her for Debbie. When does filming start?? I can’t wait!!!
