maryann is the mainade, in the book, when sookie is scratched she is described as a woman, nearly nude with a pig, i just think they have changed her reason for being in bontemps

total and complete speculation…but does anyone think she may be fairy? Maybe they changed her name? IDK, its the only thing I can think of…love how they have changed things up to keep people guessing!

i think she has some connection to the vampires because they knew a woman who could help sookie, so the same woman must have helped her also..but im not so sure..cant wait 2 find out!

The monster doesn’t look like a maenad to me, i reckon Maryann is a maenad since they’re female followers of Dionysus. Maryann acts alot like one of those described in legends, partying and getting people drunk, having sex with a male only to devour his flesh later on.

The poison from the scratch was meant to kill Sookie if it weren’t for Eric getting that doctor, so it would be interesting to see how Daphne recovered from it. I wonder if Daphne doesn’t know what Sam is and just means something else but maybe she was sent by Maryann to get to him, can’t wait to find out!!

I think the Maryann is using this girl as a pawn to get to Sam. I think she is under Maryann’s control.
