Did Luke really do that?
We have all known Luke to be a very emotionally active person through his run on the series. What I mean by that is that when Luke has an emotion it is usually very strong and he usually acts on it. However, I can’t believe that he wired himself up to the neck with shells and silver and made himself a human bomb!!! I can actually believe that he would do something like that but its still a shocker. I can’t wait to see who will live and die and if it will follow anything that happens in the books. What do you guys think?
More True Blood...
- Jason vs. Luke – Who Is Going To Be The Perfect Soldier Of The Sun?
- Episode 8, Timebomb – What a Cliffie!
- Daphne
- Welcome Werewolves to True Blood!
- What are we going to do?

I think that some vampires will die. I mean, Luke had both silver and wooden bullets in that chain, no matter what godric or anyone else does there will be at least one casualty. I think that Stan will die. Maybe Isabel, but I’m 97% sure that stan is one finally dead undead. Also, if Godric isn’t killed in the blast, I think he’ll be gone by the end of the episode, maybe he’ll sacrifice his life in an attempt to make the whole thing look like vampire-on-vampire violence instead of human-on-vampire violence, i dunno. I wish I could see any way for Lorena to get herself killed too, but I don’t think that’s gonna happen. Damn.
Have you read the books?
It’s pretty obvious Luke did that. He built his entire life upon his faith on Revend Newlin’s believes. His world has fallen to pieces and he wants to put it back to rights. I feel sorry for him.
In real life Sookie would have died, but she can’t in Hollywood because she is one of the main characters, and if she died there would be no True Blood (plus I think Bill will save her). When I saw the preview There seemed to be a lot of damage (duh) and more than a few bloody vamps! I’m so excited!
I havent read the books *shame* but…
Perhaps this says something about religious extremism and how its not just “over there in the middle east” but that there are some real wackos in North America too.
Well with Luke he is one of those people who has to believe in something. It is really sad because you have some people who their obsessed with their spiritual leaders to fanaticism, and I think that is what happened with Luke. He had gone to the other extreme of charismatic. He became fanatical, to the extent that he was willing to be a martyr for his “religious cause.”
He never saw the flaw in his religion and his church. God, is love. There was not one ounce of love in that church or it’s leadership. They taught, spread and eat and breathed hate, vengeance and violence.
It is really sad because we have many leaders as Rev. Newland who are very charismatic and influential speakers and teachers for people who want and need something and someone to believe in. They manipulate people through religion to support their agenda to get and do what they want for them.
