Does Hugo have a point?
I am wondering whether Isabel was honest to Sookie and Bill when she tol
d them that she loved Hugo. Obviously the two were very willing to see an successful relationship between vampire and human.
Isabell threw a complete different light on her human companion when talking to Eric when she talked about her relationship with Hugo.
It is unlikely but possible that she played down her feelings for Hugo in order not to appear weak. She called his aging process an “curious like a science project.” If she was showing her true feelings I nearly understand that Hugo turned against her.
No wonder he feels used. I do have the feeling that he does have a point when he says that Isabel doesn’t want a relationship between equal.
Of course, turning to the FOTS for help nd tat the Dallas vampires and get Sookie entrapped seems to be the worst possible choice…

yep, pretty dumb… especially after a lovers spat.
I think, it’s worse than a lover’s spat. I think Isabel uses Hugo as mere entertainment.
She has to care for him… She felt something when he first when to the basement, but it went away. Or are humans able to sever the emotional bond with vampires? Because maybe once he thought he was safe from her, he was able to fall out of lust with her. I do think that Isabel cares deeply for him though. I think the real reason she won’t turn him, is because she doesn’t want to curse him. Most vampires are hesitant to change a human. Want them to live their life and such; not be damned. (Think of Bill’s view of his ‘gift’).
I haven’t thought of Isabell being able to feel Hugo. That is a sign that he had her blood at least once. There seems to be a blood bond with him.
I think it possible for the human to cut off the vampire. Hugo isn’t showing signs of strong distress when Isabel talks to Eric.
Yes, I believe Hugo has cut her off, allying with the FOTS, and besides he doesn’t want the enemy coming in prematurely.
Sorry, I wanted to post : ” It is NOT possible for the human to cut off the connection.
Otherwise, eg. a blood bond with Lafayette would not be interesting for Eric.
Too bad it is not possibe to edit the comments.
***Spoiler***
Humans can cut off the at-will bond, like an engagement or marriage. What if you are dealing with a polygamist, cross sexual or cross species bond? Hugo betrayed vampires, Hugo dumped Isabel for the FOTS. Hugo was getting a beatdown from Gabe with nary a whisper to Isabel.
1. Vampires aren’t omnipotent. Sookie and the maenad were a mystery to Eric. If humans can do that, resist glamoring, why not resist an unwanted blood bond?
2. Hugo betrayed Isabel, and as Eric has said in season one, they know when a human has wronged them. Ergo, no bond signifying danger. The slight feeling she might have felt on the hill with Eric was a residue contact of Hugo’s claustrophobia. Isabel knew Hugo had done something, hence she threw him under the bus.
If humans could cut off a blood bond with a vampire the incidence between Eric and Lafayette doesn’t make any sense.
As I see it a blood bond might be simular to a radio freqeunce that the vampire may choose to ignore.
Their is no proof of a blood bond between Isabell and Hugo. Obviously their connection isn’t as strong as the one between Sookie and Bill.
Isabel cares about Hugo as shown in episode 8….she just wanted to maintain a tough image in front of Eric I think; I love Isabel btw jajaj.
I wasn’t sure about her affection for Hugo before “Time-Bomb”. Now it is obvious she really loves him.
