But if you have read to book nine — don’t worry. 
Those of us that are book fans all know how frustrating the end of book number nine was. Eric doesn’t come to Sookie’s rescue, Cluadine and her baby are dead, fairy world is sealed forever, and her great grandfather mysteriously praises “The Vampire” by saying, “The vampire is a good man.”
Where was Eric? Who is this vampire? Some say that it’s Eric Northman, Some say Bill Compton.
We all know Eric; the tall, blond, blue-eyes, sexy, and viking vampire. He’s leader of area 5, head honcho, the big man — excuse me — vampire. His area in Luisianna is his baby. Area before friends, as Eric has bef0re said. When he was under the spell of the witches he said he would leave everything for her. The quesion is; would he be able to say the same thing currently?
Bill is the muscular, button-up shirt-wearing, mainstreaming vampire who you could call for help anytime — at night that is. Oh, and your name has to be Sookie Stackhouse. He kept secrets from her, Cheated on her, and raped her. He says that it was all because he had to follow the orders of his queen and maker. But Bill has always been there for her and he says he always will be. We have to ask the same question for this vamp; will he always be there for Sookie Stackhouse?

Where do you get that Claudine is dead? When Sookie asked about her, all Niall said was “She’s in the Summerland.” From that, I get that she’s alive, but she’s not in great condition.

summerland is fairie heaven. claudine is my single most favorite character- dont want to believe she is dead but that does not leave me much hope
because when fairies die…. they got to the summerlands.
I think that Niall refers to Eric, because in the presence of the great grandfather, Eric says that Sookie is his, and Niall hears him, and he knows better Eric than Bill.

I am hoping that it is Eric, like yourself, but for some gut renching reason I think its Bill… which is really annoying, I think its cause she has hated him for quite a bit now… but then again Sookie is fully aware that Bill is in love with her, so why would she need her GGdads assurance… hmmm I just got myself stuck… lol
It has to be Eric, he is amazing, and he was angry with Bill when they were in the hospital… so I think there is more than what has been told, a reason for why he didnt go to rescue her like he normally does….
May 2010 cant come quick enough…

I hope Niall was talking about Eric and we get to read some more steamy loving Boom Chicka Wah Wah! Although Bill was and always is willing to die for Sookie and I think Eric still loves himself more. But Bill was such a douch bag to Sookie. Dam you Bill for being so cute (now)!

oh i can’t just wait to read it and know who was the vampire that Niall was referring to..

‘A touch of Death ” is not the 10th book of Sookie Stackhouse series. This book is a compilation of sookie adventure from book 1 to 9, and scheduled tobe publish this October. The 10th book tittlle will be “Death in the family” will be publish May 2010.

well i think her grandpa refers to Eric… the grandfather knows Eric, contacted him to arrange the meeting with Sookie. Also when Bill saw the fairies kidnapping Sookie, he contacted Eric to contact Niall. As for rescuing sookie, when she blamed Eirc asking him “where were you? ..etc” he says ” you are killing me but now it is not time to talk. I will tell you later.” there is a lot more i feel to my favorite vampire.
Eric (Y) has to be him even tho it is more believable that it is Bill… but what you brought up is what has me stuck, its not eric to just sit and watch while Bill goes off and rescues her… something else has happened…. grrr. lol

It is going to be Bill. There is no doubt abour that. Just read the very firt sentence of book 1 and you will understand. And Niall was talking about Bill, because if he was refering to Eric he would just have said so. He used word the vampire because he just met with Bill when both of them have recue her. That is when Niall understood the feelings of Bill for Sookie. And even if Eric is so hot and all and even if his feelings are for real, he is a manipulator and he is playing with Bill from the start making him acting like he want in front of Sookie. I am sure that we are going to discover much more about Bill and that he will reconquer Sookie. The first true love is always the stronger.
i dunnoooooo, its a real cliffhanger cause at times in the 8th and 9th book he refers to eric as ‘the vampire’ and its so obvious if it is bill because he tells sookie he will always love her before all the faries come and she knows that as she always says that bill loves her and would never hurt her. she doesnt know if eric loves her and i think he does his just got so much pride he cant admit it to her and i think sookie thinks that to she just thinks its the blood bond most of the time. and i think that naill says that because sookie doesnt understand why eric didnt come and save her.

eric!!! he is amazing. he is beautiful like the book decribed him as. him and sookie would make a goood couple and there personality matches.
If she ends up with Bill it would be totally boring. I mean, to classic. First love etc. I just love Eric. (heh, he’s betterlooking in season two than season one when he had long hair.) I’m kind of sure he meant Eric, i mean, has he even talked with Bill!? At all!? Reason how he could have meant Bill then?! Yeah, sure dude, he is a fairy and all, i know, but still.

I sure hope that it’s Eric she end up with! I mean yeah he’s been manipulative about things to get what he wants, but I reckon Sookie will be happier with him. He tells the truth, he takes cares of Sookie in everyway, and when there is a greater power that is endandering Sookie, he’s able to think of ways (even though it was without Sookie’s consent) to protect Sookie. He will risk himself against the queen and king for Sookie, as much as it makes it sound that Eric comes first for himself, he’s certainly doing a whole lot different in actions!
Beside.. Sookie went straight to him when it comes to explosion at the pyrmaid.. ok maybe she didn’t know where Bill was but that’s beside the point (yes she found him nonetheless, for some more ex complications in later books probably, especially with Sookie feeling confused and touched by Bill’s actions again.. so Bill seems like he’s going to come around n complicated things again)
But if it was intended that Bill will be the one Sookie ends up with, shouldn’t there be more he’s doing? He seem too obsessive about this computer program to care, he seem to obedient to his rulers to be protecting Sookie properly not to even mention the raping, the cheating etc.
And I also have a feeling, how Sookie can glimpse a thought or 2 about Eric sometimes, that could be leading to something eventually. Some kinda bond that’s meant to be maybe?
Anyways, that’s what I think of my theory as the way I feel like the plot is flowing.. I sure hope it’s Eric though =] I’m all for Eric & Sookie pair!
i think its eric cause the in the last book, the last time you actually see eric which is also the last time you see nial before he tells sookie “the vampire loves you”. erics lickin sookies bloody head and nial says somethin like “get away from her, VAMPIRE”
nial knows erics name! and throughout the books he refers to eric a lot as the vampire!
maybe its just wishful thinkin lol – it better be eric!!
i dont think id want to read anymore if she went back to bill it would be pointless readin – shoulda stopped with the first book if thats the case!

Niall says “the vampire is not a bad man.” This is a tough one because both Eric and Bill have been and are considered “bad men.” Eric was the bad guy in the first few books and then Bill took his place later on.
Bill has told Sookie over and over that he still loves her. Is Niall telling Sookie to trust Bill and forgive him for what he has done to her because he will always love her?
Or is Niall saying that Eric, who has always been so into himself, does love Sookie and just hasn’t admitted it to himself yet?
It makes sense both ways really.
I think we have a lot more to see with the Sookie and Eric relationship. What was he doing that he couldn’t help rescue her from the torturing fairies? It obviously hurt him.
When Bill went to save Sookie, did Niall realize that Bill really loves her and is not a bad man?
I think that we still have a lot to see from the Bill and Sookie relationship because obviously Niall’s comment is going to frustrate her.
Personally, I hope it is Eric because I think that he truly loves her even though he can not admit it to himself or Sookie. Also, I think that she has changed him and that if Sookie goes for Bill instead, Eric will be crushed.
I think theres going to be a fight in the end between Bill and Eric!
Ooh I hope its Bill, but if it is Eric – well hey – who wouldn’t knock Eric back as a consolation prize. God damn that Sookie is a lucky lucky woman.
ps. how many sleeps is it until Book 10 is released? OMG Can I please go into a coma until it comes out?
I think that Sookie should end up with Eric, because Eric accepts Sookie as she is. He is amused by her, he understands her. He is fun to be around (Bill lacks a sense of humour most of the time). Bill may be younger, but he is more old-fashioned in a lot of ways. And, Bill has always been more possessive, which is not a good thing (Eric might be jealous a bit sometimes but he seems more accepting of Sookie’s other relationships).

Niall is referring to Bill, because bill is the one that was there. He had to get help because he could survive a total silver attack.

Maybe in the beginning Bill was best for her, but Eric has proven to be more reliable and he is definately hotter!!!

OMG! i cant believe that Hunter, Sookie’s cousins son is a telepath too, thats really cool. and i also cant believe that Sookie has farie blood. although i still dont think it’s why Eric is so hot for her.
iv always thought that Eric is the best for Sookie. so what if he doesn’t save her this time, he’s always been there for her and hes saved her life more thatn once. he hasn’t lied to her, he hasn’t tried to seduce her just to gain her trust because her was working for his queen,he hasn’t ran off and cheated on her and he hasn’t raped her. but Bill has. All Eric has done is save her life more than once and has done some harmeless flirting and the TV series makes Eric out to be the bad guy and Bill the hero and they also try to make it out that Sookie is desperatelly in love with Bill when that is all wrong. the book’s make everything out to be the oposite.
i think the TV series needs to try to keep to the book’s guidelines a lot more.
the TV series also blows the whole Menad issue all out of proportion and in the book there is only a small mention of the Menad.
in my opineon the books are better than the series although it is good to see the charactors come to life and see the hot guys. i only watch it for Eric anyway.
