I have to go with the “Blood in my hair thing”? It left me with my mouth hanging open. I loved it.
I loved when he got blood in his hair and also when Pam was all ticked off because she had to run the woods in new shoes and eric says something like –Pam there were great shoes…lol

I remenber something like a dialog between him and Sookie when she tells him that he is too atached to his maker and he responds: Don´t talk about things you don´t know. And them she says: But you love him much and he says: Don´t talk about things that I don´t know. Hilarious

“Humans. Honestly, Bill, I don’t know what you see in them.” ( season 1 , episode 9) Eric’s first complete sentence is the episode “Plaisir d’Amour” is not only extremely funny, but also very significant for his attitude towards human beings.
I love the way Eric and Pam exchange glances during that scene. They feel so aloof. It’s hilarious.
I also loved the dialogue in which he commented on makers and love ( see above ). It really shows how estranged he is from his former human self. No wonder, he is already around for over 1000 years.
That only shows how is relation with Sookie is impossible. As he depites humans and see them as inferiors, food and trash!

I liked when he’s introduced to sookie the first time at Fangtasia.
The smirk on his face when he scares the tourist.
When he tells bill, “Did you really think you could keep her all to yourself.”
When he tears the guy apart, he makes it look kinda hot(I know I’m weird)
When he gets blood in his hair.
When Sookie slaps him and instead of doing something back to her, he starts majorly flirting.
The whole, “May I’ll grow on you . I’d prefer cancer part.”
When he tricks Sookie into getting the bullets out and he gets that big grin on his face( I think he could feel that Sookie wasn’t as disgusted as she was saying and that’s why he grinned like that.)
The first dream, especially when sookie says he has love in him and he says only for sookie.
When he and sookie lovingly glance at eachother while Nan is ****hing everyone out for the situation.
When Sookie goes to confort him about Godric and he looks so suprised.
Favorite parts in the the books: 1st book-When he tries to glamour Sookie even though Bill said she was his. 2nd book-The whole orgy scene and afterwards. 3rd book-When he help patch up sookie after the she returns to the hotel and the bullet scene. 4th book-Shower Scene and when he tries to attack the werewolf after she talks crap about sookie and any other scenes he has with Sookie. The bonding scene at the Summit. The fact that he marries Sookie in the last book(I don’t think that he has a problem with it due to the fact that he loves sookie.) I really hope Niall was talking about Eric when he said that the vampires wasn’t bad and that the vampire loved her.

I hope that Niall was referring to Eric as well at the end of book 9. Have you noticed in both books and 8 & 9 when Niall is talking with Sookie he always refers to Eric as ‘the vampire’ and he approached Sookie through Eric. He could have approached her through Bill but he didn’t. So maybe Niall was referring to Eric when he says at the end of book 9 ‘the vampire is a good man and he loves you’.

Thanks! I’m glad to have someone on the same page as myself. The only vampire I’ve ever heard Niall talk about is Eric and I don’t think that Niall would say that about Bill when Bill didn’t rescue Sookie before she was so disfigured that Eric had to drink several bottles of blood to replenish Sookie and heal her. That’s another way he shows he cares for sookie because he wouldn’t normally do that for someone. I think the first time I noticed that Eric cared about her or liked her was Season 2 Episode 3 when she ****h smacks Eric across the face and instead of getting pissed, Eric starts majorly flirting with her. I can’t wait to see more of Sooric.
Hi Heather, I agree with you as well. In both the TB series and the books, Eric lets Sookie get away with stuff that he’d rip the throat out of somebody else for – human or vampire.
Yeah, I really think he likes her balls and that she isn’t afraid of him. I also think she and Pam provide Eric with humanity if that makes sense. And he doesn’t kill anyone else, except for the guy that started the fire and he deserved it for thinking her could get away from sticking a 1,000 year old vampire with silver. Can’t wait for the next episode.
I can’t wait for ep 11 either. I’ll see it Monday night in Australia. Then (huge sigh) we have to wait 2 weeks for ep 12. Why is that HBO? Where are you from Heather?

2 weeks is better than the 8 months we have to wait for Season 3 to begin. I hope all of the same actors come back. If they change who plays Eric, Bill, Sookie, Jason, Sam and Tara I’m going to be pissed.
That sucks. But at least we’ll have Season 2 of True Blood while waiting 8 months for the next season. I also spend my time watching eric & sookie clips on youtube. All you have to do is put in eric & sookie and watch them. There are some really good ones. There’s this one where Sookie has a premonition of Eric comitting suicide but she gets to him in time and tells him she loves him.

I think we’ll have to wait and see because there’s still the whole issue of why Eric didn’t go rescue Sookie from the fairies torturing her, and Bill and Niall did together so I still think it’s possible Niall might have been referring to Bill with that last statement. I wish he was talking about Eric, but I’m not sure because the author’s hinted several times that Eric loves himself more that anyone else and is really attached to gaining power. But for the record, I love Eric; I think he’s a great character! Him and Pam are my favorites in the series!
OMG?!?! Sookie and Eric get married?!? Damn I was hoping that Sookie and Quinn would be able to work things out. It’s a good thing that I like spoilers or I would be sooo mad.

Technically, they’re “pledged”, but in vampire terms, they are married. It’s even more concrete because Sookie unknowingly gives Eric the ceremonial knife that he uses at vampire weddings. (She didn’t know it was the knife because she was just told to give Eric the velvet bag in front of the King of Nevada’s representative. She didn’t look inside)

I agree with almost everything in Heather’s post–choices, descriptions, everything. With one exception: while it’s impossible to choose a favorite Eric scene, I don’t like the cancer comment as much as everyone else seems to.
For season 1, it’s a split between the bathtub shot–did you notice how much of that tub Eric filled, when Sookie and Bill only used two-thirds of it? and his strategically placed left thumb?–and Sookie’s first visit to Fangtasia. He looks so bored up there, on his throne, holding audience. Then Sookie gets his attention because she’s different. How, he wonders, intrigued. You can see his mind at work. A puzzle to combat the boredom, and a very attractive one. Surely out of Bill’s league. (In the book, he tries to glamour her although she’s with Bill and it’s not just rude, but poaching, an actionable offense.) On screen, he had me from the moment he smiled and said, “Please. Sit.” And he has that accent Sookie notices from time to time, the one he only has when he’s completely engaged in the moment, good or bad. I think that’s my favorite scene from book 1, too.
For season 2, I can’t … well, if I must, of course the love dream. Except even in Sookie’s dream he should have said “my lover” not “my Sookie.” Then the maker-love-words conversation. I’m fondest of the witty Eric that TB doesn’t allow us to see as often as I’d like.
What I wish for, but fear it won’t come to pass since we’ve already seen Eric in a dress, is the scene before the orgy, when they’re primping side by side in front of Sookie’s mirror and they notice that their hair is the exact same color. It’s a bond between them and a subtle turning point in their relationship, and having identical hair is an uberthread in the books. It’s their first mission as partners, perhaps a little peek at season 3.
But TB can’t put that on screen because they’ve thrown away the pretext, both by having Sam go to Eric for help and by putting Maryann in Sookie’s house. Also I don’t think they plan to; their hair is a different blond this year. (It was the same color last year.) And Eric’s is gone. (Did Alex have to cut it for another role?)
RANT ALERT: I dislike that tedious bloody maenid storyline more every episode. I’ve been fast forwarding through it for weeks now. Callisto was feral in the book and only appeared in a couple scenes and a couple conversations between Sookie and Sam, who was boinking her. It was baby bear plenty. In the book. Expanding that damn storyline all out of proportion and trimming the Dallas vampire storyline was a cruel thing to do. Maybe the writers haven’t seen enough porno to learn this lesson: a little flesh is titilating; excess is boring. And all that food! What a waste, in so many ways.We could have had more Eric (who is the book expert on maenids), more Pam, (they’re not letting us get to know her), and more Fangtasia.
What happened to Barry? Why didn’t they follow up on him? Another telepath? He’s important. In the book, no one bit him, he was young and scared, not rude to Sookie, and he came out all right in the end. Southerners are not rude to someone’s face; not even a Texan will do that. Honey? Vinegar? Flies? Every Southerner’s mother taught that one, along with sport flirting, sir, ma’am, yes please, smiling to disarm and deflect, how to give and receive courtesy, and to get back at someone, use a back door cut. Oh, and if your mama’s from Florida–like mine–you put salt on melons; if your daddy’s from northern Louisiana–like mine–you put ketchup on eggs. Having Barry be all cocky now will reduce the impact of the change in his confidence when we meet him later. Eric … remember Eric? This is a post about Eric. Eric paid Barry a whopping huge amount of cash for bringing them the message that saved Sookie’s life.
Which leads me to my other favorite Eric book scene: Sookie, after the hard work of saving *herself* from the Fellowship, loses it in the elevator and ruins yet another of Eric’s expensive shirts. He freaks–over her tears, not his shirt. And then he’s such a gentle and competent EMT, all the while madly flirting with her, deflecting her attention from her pain, as if he were Southern born and bred. While Bill’s all helter skelter.
BOOK SPOILER: Okay, I was going to mention all the reasons that Eric is obviously The Vampire, beginning with he’s the only individual vampire in Niall’s sphere of reference,
But Heather beat me to it, below.
Niall has had dealings with him in the past, and Niall’s even more arrogant than Eric. Throughout books 8 and 9, Niall calls Eric not by name but “*the* vampire.” Bill learned about Niall outside the narrative and likely at the end of book 8. Niall probably thinks of Bill only as Eric’s minion, if he thinks of him at all. When Sookie asked about Bill in the warehouse, Niall dismissed her concern, as if he couldn’t quite place him.
i’ve gotten so used to watching TB every sunday night, i don’t know what i’m going to do until season 3. there’s going to be a void in my life

I think the best scene is when Sookie and Eric where in the fellowship of the sun church and he leans close to her face and says “trust me”
In my opinion you could really see the chemistry between them in this scene!
Hopefully we get to see some Eric and Sookie action in the next episode or at least in the next season
Hear hear! I also love how Eric gets totally pissed off when Steve threatens to tie Sookie to him so that they can burn together. I also think that is the reason he attacks Steve after being released from the chains.
Did anyone else find it absolutely adorable when Eric first meets Sookie.
Sookie says, “I am his.”
Eric says, “What a pity, for me.”
And then he looks her up and down and licks his lips as if in “hunger” and attraction. He’s practically licking his chops while looking at her. But not as a meal but as a potential “mate”

in the flashback to when eric was human he is dying and his friend asks him
“do you think there will be women where you are going?”
eric gives him a ‘are you crazy look’ and says “wherever i go the will always be women”
not sure if i got that exact but i almost fell off my chair laughing-its so eric.
and the books…. im going to have to read them again but two of my favorites are the pink and blue spandex and the scene in club dead with his silk boxers… oh my
im getting all my coworkers to watch the show slowly but surely. a friend was resisting…. then he saw a pick of eric and told me “i think ill try to watch it” made me laugh alot

I agree with all the already mentioned moments. But one of my favorites is when Eric asks Bill ‘are you trying to pick a fight with me?’. The smile on his face kills me!
Eric was great when he and Bill met out side of the Queen’s house. He filps his hair around and asks if Sookie has mentioned anything about him. (referring to the dreams). I think it’s cool when he refres to Bill as Billy, to goad him on.

My favorite moment is in the book after he remembers everything that happened to him when he was cursed with memory loss. He tells Sookie the reason he ended up on her road was because part of the curse sent him to his hearts desire. For him that pretty much says I love you.

*SPOILER* I love all the moments mentioned above both from show and books. lets face it, just about anything to come out of his mouth is great. In book 3, I believe ( i have lent my books out for the moment) when Eric and Chow come to Sookies trying to get info on Bill’s secret job that he is doing for the queen and he sends Chow outside and leans in very close to Sookie, telling her he doesn’t really like to see her show fear of him but he will get his info out of her one way or another. Sorry not exact wording but wow, the electricity from those sentences practically jumps off the page. He is sensual, and threatening and intimate all at the same time. My heart flutters just thinking about it.
And the line from Dead and Gone when she is asking why he didn’t rescue her and she had been trying to send him messages and kept hoping he would come and he tells her she is killing him. I can’t wait to get more details on that issue………
