Giles Matthey Joining True Blood
Giles Matthey has landed a recurring role on True Blood’s fifth season. The actor has signed on to play Claude, one of the fairies and a distant cousin to Sookie’s father.
But since the show deviates from the book, Claude will have additional storylines that will not be familair to readers of the book series. He will reportedly set his sights on Jessica (played by Deborah Ann Woll), which is ironic since in the book, Claude is considered a gay character.
We will get to see Claude around the third episode of Season 5. The character was briefly in the fourth season, but was then portrayed by a different actor (Neil Hopkins). Claude was important to Sookie as he helped her escape the realm of the fairies.
Giles Matthey was recently seen on an episode of The Good Wife and is a new comer to television. He joins other actors like Chris Meloni, Christopher Heyerdahl and Lucy Griffiths for this latest installment of the supernatural series.
True Blood will start airing this summer on HBO.
