Jason vs. The Fellowship of the SUN

Jason Stackhouse could easily have been described as ‘A Man without Purpose’. From the beginning of the show he cared only about erotic pleasures. Then he met Amy and fell in love, despite all of the complications that came along with her… Just as he was ready to change his ways, make a serious commitment, and start a new life…. she gets killed!

While Jason was completely lostm in jail, and looking for direction, that is when the Fellowship of the Sun swooped in and seduced him with their message. Claiming to be righteous Christians, this group of Vampire haters is convicted in their belief that Vampires are abominations and of the devil. Jason Stackhouse has bought into this philosophy hook, line, and sinker….

While Jason and Amy have the poor Vampire, Eddie, trapped in the basement of their home, Jason develops a relationship with him. He speaks with him and almost comes to be friends with him. He is so affected by the death of Eddie that he verbally defends Vampires in one of the final episodes of Season One. Considering this, it seems that Jason should be more conflicted about his involvement with the Fellowship. We get a glimpse of this when, at the leadership conference (Season: 2 Episode: 2), Jason does a role-play with Sarah Newlin. When he goes to ‘stake’ her he has a flash of Eddie.

So, my question for you is this: Do you think that Jason has truly become a full convert of the Fellowship, or is there still hope that he may see the error of his ways?

I believe Jason follows the Fellowship of the Sun, because has low self-esteem. In spite of having a lot of luck with the local women, he feels sexually threatened by vampires. When Amy flattered him and called him a wise person he was willing to follow her.
He will follow anyone/ anything that will make him feel better about himself.

He never had to fight to get in there in first place, I believe he lacks true devotion. Moreover, I don’t think Jason will be able to stay chaste for long. I suspect there will be a different kind of roly play with Sarah Newlin soon.

    3. Karina says:

I think that Jason started to truly care for Eddie and that if he had lived longer their relationship could have blossomed. Because he did have a flash back I think he realized that he is in the wrong place. I hope we have not seen the end of the Jason we know but I don’t think we have.

I think Jason will bring down the Fellowship of the Sun. Deep down he is a good person. Jason is a simple person, not overly smart but not stupid either. He known the difference between right and wrong but it takes him a while to figure stuff out. Once he connects all the dots though, I think he will be the bane of the sun peeps.

    5. Ivritman says:

Jason will soon take Sarah from her husband. After that, Jason and Sarah will run FOT.

    6. Talena says:

I think that Jason sleeps with sarah but i think she is just as creepy and fake as her husband. Hopefully he ditchs her after and goes back to bon temps. I don’t think he really belongs in that church and i agree he is just looking for something after his g/f was killed and the murder of eddie. I think the next couple episodes him and sookie will meet back up because the church has the vampire and he will realise the church is just crazy.
