Missed Opportunity for Jason Stackhouse?
Vampires Diaries star, Ian Somerholder who plays Damon admitted to Newsweek that he originally tried out for the part of Jason Stackhouse of True Blood but didn’t get the part. However, he’s not resentful since he now has his own hit vampire show. Ian is gorgeous and good at playing Damon but I can’t see him playing Jason.
Do you think that HBO made a mistake? I doubt it. I personally think that this is one person who doesn’t need True Blood love.

Not sure if Ian could have handled the er…um, racy love life of Jason Stackhouse…
I’m glad that Ian got the part as Damon. He’s perfect for it, and is one of the reasons why I can’t wait for thursday nights. I’m not sure how he would have been as Jason. I can’t see him doing half the stuff they make Ryan do.
I am glad Ryan got the part cause I can’t see Ian as a dumb guy he is too good looking for that and plus he is really good at playing Damon.I am not saying Ryan is not good looking cause he is and he has not changed from when he was in Home and Away and he has a very good sense of humour and he play Jason to a tee I pictured Jason the way Ryan plays himand the face expressions are a classic.Love ya Ryan from a aussie fan .

Ian’s eyes have way too much intelligence which makes it hard to place him in a role where the character is a bit of an air-head. In LOST he did an OK job of being a bit of an air-head but it wasn’t totally believable. Like I said, I attribute it to his eyes. Ryan, on the other hand, can and does to a point hide his intelligence from his eyes. This is not a matter of skill, its a matter of genetics. Some people just can’t, no matter how hard they try, hide their intelligence (or for that matter their stupidity) from their eyes.
