I agree, there was a point just before terra went to save eggs that Lafayette and Sookie spoke about eric and drinking his blood. Lafayette mentions that he has been having scary frustrating but incredible sexual dreams about Eric.

*SPOILER* @annie 09: Yes, I think Eric married Sookie in book 8 as well; or at least he began the process. He may have needed Sookie to present the same knife to him, which she did in book 9 to complete the pledge.
