To be honest I don’t really want to choose, but I would probably choose True Blood. Even though The Vampire Diaries hasn’t started yet.

I looooove true bloood and vampire diaries and twighlight but the best out of those threee is trueblood its one of my all time fav shows better than all the vamp shows/movies out there! I am only 16 my mom knows i watch it she also knows how disgusting the sex scenes and how they talk are! she knows im almost an adult and soon ill be making my own sex scenes lol she never said the sex scenes part. she watches it too but not with me that would be weried with all the sexscenes. even though we fast foward them all if you dont watch it dosent exsit right? and plus shes kows i dont get my kicks from wathcong stuff like tht im n6t that kinda girl well time to go to bed ahahaha lol not umm bye
Vampire Diaries is by far better for teenagers. And, no it is not anything like Twilight because the two guys loving the girl are BOTH vampires. There are so many differences like how werwolves only turn on a full moon, how doppelgangers exist, how you have to drink vampire blood, die, then drink human blood to become a vampire, how vampires are staked to die, and so much more! Vampire Diaries has a fantastic storyline, that is always changing, without just having a bunch of sex scenes. I suppose if sex it what u like watching tho, then True Blood would be better. Vampire Diaries has good balance of gore, love, sex, vampires, and fantasy. I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE TO COME OUT, The Sacrifice!!!!!
you can’t compare those series ’cause they’re all different. Maybe Twilight & The dairies thing is kinda the same- with the highschool stuff but True Blood is sooo different that twilight- waaaay cooler

I love Twilight books and the film too, but the books are so way better.
The Vampire Diaries seem interesting to me, with many effects too.
True Blood is more elder, as sex, blood, fights, some frightening scenes and is very differente.
As i only read the Twilight Saga I can´t compare the books series of the others.
As Twilight only as one film aired and not a serie I can´t compare it also.
As Vampire Diaries didn´t aired yet and I also didn´t read the books I can´t compare it too.
But I love True Blood so much suspense, romance, drama, sex, horror it as it all you know? It´s a complete series.
But i still love Twilight…

I LOVED the twilight books…devoured them even though I don’t fit into the teenage young adult group
and I’ve worked my way through all the Sookie books and every last episode of True Blood and I love them both…but for different reasons.
I couldn’t even begin to choose one over the other…why must it be a competition?? There are good vampire things and others that are truly miserable. It’s great that there is such a wealth of amazing exciting sexy fantasy stuff out there right now.

I have read Twilight Saga (and also the leakage chapter of midnaight sun..),Sookie Satckhouse series (1-9) and Anita Blake series (1-6). I think all of this vampire series is intresting in different way and wich one is the best is simply about preference and taste of the reader.
I hope Stephenie Meyer will finish “Midnaight Sun” because it gona be the best of all the twiligt Saga.
Now i’m a TB addict after S02e07 AB made the series better than the book.

SM… said she will not be finishing it ANYTIME SOON, until she gets over the fact that she was backstabbed by someone she trusted, I can relate with her, if she has to keep it somewhat uniformed to Twilight, she has to go into writeing it in the right frame of mind, like she said if she was to write it now she would kill off everyone… that wouldn’t quite match up with Twilight.
I feel the same way. LOVE my twilight, gonna read the sookie stackhouse books. I’m gonna have to say i read quite a bit and Twilight saga is my favorite EVER!!!! I actually saw the movie before I read the books and really didn’t get what the big deal was, decided to read the books and now I GET IT! True blood and twilight have few things in common. Other than the love story/vampire genre they are completely different. I really don’t see the need to compare. It’s just up to the taste of the individual. Some people don’t like all the gore, I don’t mind though lol

True blood or southern vampire mysteries gets into a lot of supernatural things like other shapshifters and different types of weres and even some fairies, it also has a lot of very very good sex senes int he show and in the books lol.
Vampire Diaries is again more focosed on alove story but you would be suprised by the book series. I would say it is a step above twilight in terms of adult content and has a lot of supernatural things like ghosts and spirits and relies a lot on histiry of the characters.
So in a cage match they don’t even mix for me. They all fill a different need for me with the different content and story lines.

He thinks it’s really weird that I like vampire stuff. So i really wanted to show him why I liked it. I also don’t understand why people have gone crazy over the guy who plays Edward?? Twilight was the most retarded vampire movie ever, Vampires are supposed to be fierce killers, with no remorse to anything. The main Vampire in Twilight was an emo little bitch, that looked like he wanted to cry all the time, though i only watched about 20 minutes of it befor i could watch no more, I guess you could say True Blood has some similarities to Twilight, but their are so many things that are different that make it good.

First of all in a lot of classic vampire stories there have been characters who have some sort of remorse of compassion for humans. Its not uncommon at all
Secondly I’m finding it hard to believe you know emo means because “edward” was far from that but anyway.
Thirdly Pick up a book…for the most of us who saw Twilight we went because we read the series. We who went actually agreed that the movie was a let down and the studios agreed as well which is why major changes were made to the second film and its looking to be a much better version of the books.
I agree the 1st film is not a blockbuster, and could be so much better, and the 2nd by is trailers seems much more interesting, but I can´t avoid myself to like the first one, and I´m not an emo by that, I´m not even a teen and also don´t like the concept that is a teen movie/books.
I only think people could be more respectful with the others opinions!

twilight the MOVIE sucked. twilight the novels are OK at best. i loved the first book, but the rest is just “blah” for me. i hate jacob. and by the end of the Eclipse, i hated Bella too for being pathetic and overboard with the damsel-in-distress. the entire last novel felt like a well-written Mary-Sue fanfiction that SM copied and published as her own. Midnight Sun is a riot. Edward is a total drama queen, but that’s why i liked the unfinished 5th volume–the hilarity.
i prefer fanfiction than the actual publication, actually. meh.

I love the Sookie books – the writing doesn’t make me want to rip out my hair, and I like the characters. Sookie is so much more interesting in the books.

i have read the twilight series,the vampire diaries and i am on book 3 of the sookie stackhouse series. i find trueblood is the most adult oriented. i LOVED the vampire diaries when i read them which was about 10 years ago.i love all LJ smith books. they withstand the test of time.
i only enjoyed the first 2 twilight books (but read them all) and dont really care about the movies. i have also read some laurel k hamilton stuff too but only when i feel like junk food for my brain. im scared to see the vampire diaries but of course i will. my vote is split between trueblood and vampire diaries
read the anita blake vampire hunter novels by laurell k hamilton, those are almost like true blood. there is like 10 books or more. i dont know im still reading them. you’ll like them.

The Twilight series in book form is really good. As far as the films go, psssht, horrible much? The actors are horrible in looks and acting ability. The True Blood books are great, as well as the show. It’s very rare that you find something like that. The Vampire Diaries books are amazing too. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that they gift us another rarity like True Bloods.

Hated the Twilight books, how can she have sold so many books with the talent for writing she has? She isn’t the worst out there but she isn’t anything more than ok. There are so many great authors out there who could only dream of selling as many books as her and they really deserve it, unlike SM.
The Twilight books were just her fantasy, she said they came to her in a dream, yeah a wet one. (Sorry i probably shouldn’t have ;]) Bella is just a plain character so we can all put ourselves in the story as her.

The actors of Twilight, in my opinion, were as good-looking as I had hoped. Not everyone perceives beauty in the same way, so there is no way that they could possibly have fulfilled all expectations.
To say that Stephenie Meyer has no talent is absurd! She describes the love between Bella and Edward so beautifully and their relationship grows throughout the books to a strength that is almost inimaginable. She describes how they could not bear to live without each other, and how each one would die in a second to protect the other. I think those who disliked it perhaps understand that this kind of love is rare at best and feel… discouraged?
I loved every single one of the books and would recommend them to everybody. Stephenie Meyer has written five books, all of which have been in the top 5 best-sellers chart for the last year. That volume of sales shows the talent she has, and cannot be wrong!
I am to begin reading the True Blood series soon, however to all those considering Twilight, read the books first, then watch the movie.

after rading the vampire diaries, Im shocked to see them on a channel like CW…there are a lot of gruesome and not tv friendly things that happen in the book, I have no idea how this will work out.
I loved the first book of Twilight, but the other three were, in reflection, not as good. I liked the movie well enough, though I laughed quite some times too- because of the horrible acting at some points. I do like the actors, though. True Blood blew me away in the first ten minutes of the first episode. Sure, the Southern accent was a bit funny at first – being used to Buffy and Angel, a Southern vampire was odd. But after I got used to that, I really got hooked. I haven’t read the books, but I’m planning on ordering them soon. Just saw a trailer of The Vampire Diaries, looks okay, bit typical and American ( which is def. recognisable at times) but maybe it’ll suprise me.
My favorite twilight book was the last one….Im not sure where every gets that the writing was bad, I really liked them. Enh everyone has different tastes does it really matter?
“True Blood”- i LOVED it, it was a lovely romance and action, and i can’t wait for the next new show, and the next season.
“Twilight”- really good romantic movie, i didn’t read the books yet so, i can’t say to much, but i really did like it.

I have read the twilight series and watched the first movie. I enjoyed the movie, but I agree that the acting of edward was a bit wooden, not quite sure if it was on purpose, or that the english actor struggled with an american accent.
I loved the True Blood series, but I haven’t read the books yet, and I’m watching the vampire diaries at the moment, which I enjoy too, but soo many damn adds!
I think my choice would be true blood series, tops for adult content, fear and lots and lots of blood!

True blood, Twilight and Anita Blake novels all have similarities. In some parts of True Blood i thought it was a complete knock off of Anita Blake. Not that i’m knocking True Blood it is the best series i have ever seen.
I have to be honest and say that I loved Twilight first but now I can’t stand it anymore! True Blood is the best and then Vampire Diaries. True Blood is better because it isnt all Sookie and Bill, there are other characters that are developed. However the thing that influences my vote the most is the female protagonist. Sookie is strong-willed, aggressive and powerful. Elena, though she stays with Stefan, firstly reacts horrifed and some common sense to run and ask question. While Bella just annoys me, most of the time I just want her to shut up.

Totally agree, and I’m a woman. The Twilight series sucks on so many levels. I did read the books and they were a bit better than the movies, although very boring…just a time-killer, really. The acting in the movies is what’s so bad. The actress (can’t remember her name) who plays Bella is by far the worst performer I’ve ever seen on screen. Can’t act, can’t emote, can’t do much of anything but schlump and frown. The vampires are dreadful but the werewolves are hot. You’re right: no mystery, no action, no thrill or plot. Just mindless trauma/drama better left dead.
True Blood, on the other hand, is the best tv series on vampires, but the books suck, especially the last three. Don’t bother to read them, the HBO series is so much better. I’d like to see more of Anne Rice’s vampires on the screen, as Interview was so excellent.

The twilight series sickens me. None of the actors (Except for the one who plays Alice) look good at all. And Jacob, in my opinion, is as much a dog as his character. The series was poorly and loosely written to allow it to become every sad little girl’s fantasy.

True blood suxx and gross, nothing can compare with it. Truely, you guys or kids are really sick watching this show. It bore and uninteresting, totally time wasting! The plot, the character, the story are nothing different with all vampire novel or anything. It’s the demanding scene that kept you guys on. In contrast, i prefer twilight and vampire daries, it make more sense and sane.
