Vampires and their makers: Jessica and Bill

They really had a bad start. Jessica’s being turned into a vampires reminded me of Bill. He had no choice, either. Whereas Lorena willingly chose Bill, becoming a maker was forced onto Bill.

My first thought was that is was a terrible idea to choose someone as inexperienced as Bill’s prodigy.

The scenes in Nothing But the Blood with Bill acting as Jessica’s father were promising.
“Your bed-time will be at 4 am and not a minute later.”
“We also recycle in this household. True Blood and other glass items go into the blue container and paper products go into the white container.”
The scene near the end of the episode where they try out which kind of True Blood would be good for Jessica really moved me: ” 2 parts 0- and 1 part B+.” Great, that they both took patience and effort to find the combination that might suit Jessica.

TrueBlood-Jessica_finaleThere was a reminecense of that spirit in the season finale when Bill insisted she should be at home at 4 not 5.

Bill warned Sookie from the beginning that as a new vampire Jessica wouldn’t be able to control her impulses at times. After some tender moments with Hoyt I thought Bill was completely wrong about Jessica. Having in mind the gentle vampire Eddie I was thinking, maybe there is a new generation of vampires. A generation that doesn’t have to hide from society , that doesn’t have to reduce humans to prey. Giving the ongoings in Beyond There Lies Nothing I fear Bill was right from the start.

    What do you think?

Jessica has no role model or individual to control or guide her with Bills dissappearance. Should make her role interesting. Will she help Sookie find Bill. She must have a “link” to him as he is her maker.

I used to think Hoyt and Jessica were perfect for each other, but after her latest scene I just can’t see them together anymore. I really hope she doesn’t turn out rotten and heartless, she seemed like she had a lot of potential to be a decent person like Bill.

I couldn’t stand Jessica @ first, but I completely fell for the whole Hoyt-Jessica relationship. The problems she is having aren’t much different than any teenager trying to fit in with new people and different associations. People tend to rebel when they are first let “free”. Remember when oyu first started drinking alcohol, or when you first realized sex was fun and enjoyable. We all go to great lengths and over indulge when we are young. Temperance and moderation come with age and maturity. First, Jessica was repressed and abused by her parents (DAD). Then she is turned and basically set free on society. Bill couldn’t face her at first and gave her to Eric to watch. Well, as we all know Eric, do unto others before they do unto you…. Then she is shut down again by Bill when Eric returns her to Bill, after she had been feeding on whatever and whomever Eric let her. She tries hard at being as normal as she can with Hoyt, and I must say, practiced much more restraint than I could have with his mother. She has no real guidance right now, she believes that Hoyt hates her and he won’t like her anymore. She needs to eat, hates TrueBlood and can’t eat within the townfolk.
I have a feeling she will be leading a bit of a double life for a while, but withhelp, love and guidance she will become a better Vampire for it in the end. About her helping to find Bill, not so sure about that, if she had such a good connection with Bill, would she not have felt the pain he was exuding when Lorena had him trapped right next door at the hotel? Unless he calls for her, I don’t think she has that bond yet. Oh well, just my rambled thoughts. :)
