- Hello!
- What will you do when True Blood Season 2 Ends?

Season 2 was pretty awful with that whole Mary Ann thing. Seriously, did it have to last the whole season. So looked forward to Season 3…..So far it is a BIG disappointment!. Why does it have to be sooooo stupidly bizaare. You’ll loose a lot of fans. I am done with it.
The books are sooo much better than the series. Poor Charlaine Harris, having to live with the desecaration of the Sookie Stackhouse series.
Bettye Hinton
Hang in there Bettye!!! I think they are just laying some ground work. This season does have way more potential than last year. Season 2 was not the big bang we were hoping for I agree, and that messy maenad crap when there were sooo many more interesting threads to zero in on! This will be great to see the writers take on the Bill/Eric thing and Sookie really getting a growth spurt! Unfortunately, we or I am not the least bit interested in Sam’s family, but Sookie can’t be in every scene so we have to make a concession there. The books are always so much better than the tv series or even a movie.
Laurell K. Hamilton would not sell her Anita Blake series bc she said she loved her characters and couldn’t stand to see them compromised by other writers, but that would have been a great series for HBO or Spike, too.
to tell the truth i have read the books and they kick-ass in my point of view but i think that the show kicks even more ass i think the whole mary ann part was genius making everyones eyes turn black and behave like wild animalistic sex fiends in the book she was just kinda passing through. And i also love the part where they are in godric’s house and lorena comes in like she fucking owns the place and when she tries to caress bill’s face sookie doesn’t care what the hell she is but grabs her hand and tells her do not touch him! knowing that in fact this vampire could rip her in half but hey that’s her man i don’t blame her one bit! and that’s not in the book . i think they gave the books a little more uumph with the tv series it’s one of those rare occasions where the tv\movie turns out better than the book(s)
I feel that the books and series are on two different levels. I do not want to put on above the other because, in my mind, they both have weight as far as my viewership is concerned. I don’t think that this is the right site for dissing one or the other, because both are known and well-loved here. If someone has an opinion about a certain sequence in either, that would be acceptable because it makes for a good discussion. But to totally discredit one with complete bias to the other… well, that is just rude to half or maybe more of the visitors to this site. I would encourage everyone to be more cautious to other visitors. Or, if you do not care about the opinions of others, then do not comment at all and find a chat-site that is specifically for arguing one over the other.
The book are nothing like the t.v show i think the t.v show involves alot of the other people in sookies life more so just her life i like the way its done but i think seen i have not watched or even up what you all are it would be not only hard for me but other people hard to relate seen as the books alittle different
