What’s up with the sexy vampires?
There’s a new show called The Vampire Diaries
coming this fall. It’s about a bunch of sexy vampires, like True Blood.
I’m making a website for the show and there’s a cool article discussing all these sexy vampire books/shows (twilight, true blood, buffy) and how it used to be that a vampire was an old dude with a cape. What happened?! (not that we’re complaining, ha).

Also vampires are becoming more adjusted to sunlight, in some cases it doesn’t even hurt them.
I think Anne Rice had a lot to do with that. She portrayed vampires to be angelic, beautiful creatures. Her’s still slept in coffins and burned in the sunlight, though.
I guess a lot of other authors had a crack at it since then and changed a few things, either to make it easier to write about them, or to make it what they felt was more realistic.
I like a lot of vampires, and I quite like the variety. But Anne Rice’s vampires will always be first for me. xD Ha.
Anyway, can’t wait for The Vampire Diaries!
Eh, I watched the previews from this site and I was NOT impressed with Vampire Diaries. It’s Twilight as a TV show. No Thanks. I’ll stick with adult vamps.

Some of the newer vampires remind me more of superheroes like X-Men than anything else.

When Bram Stoker wrote Dracula an older dude in the cape would be counted as a sex symbol. Beauty concepts change.
Each person tries to make their own unique… Which means straying as far as possible from the original!
But seriously… sparkling in sunlight? That made me laugh so hard.
it is just the way they r. they need to capture people to feed on and having that very sexy appel made it easier for them. but honestly WHO IS COMPLANIG?!?!?!?!(defenetly not me)heheheh
