Who Been Makin’ Them Scratches?

As we all know, Sookie suffered poisonous lacerations to her back in one of the last episodes. Now, what creature could it have been?
In the last episode, Maryanne turned her hands into the same claws that caused harm to Sookie. But the question is, was it Maryanne or the other waitress (whose name escapes me)?

Now, those who are loyal to the books would know that the creature that harmed Sookie was known as a maenad. A maenad is a follower of the god Dionysos or Bacchus. These followers were usually female and were known for their….er..qualities.
They would usually use an animal sacrifice ( a bull or young goat) to impersonate the god and then sacrificially tear to pieces and devour the animal alive. This practice is also in Christianity, though less…murderous shall we say? The partaking of the body and blood and such like.

So, who is the maenad? My vote is on Maryanne. Let me know your ideas and input.

   I should have known it was you when you said “lacerations” instead of cuts or something like that. When you put in spoilers from the book you might want to put a warning notifying people that there will be a spoiler in it. Keep in mind that not everyone is as obsessed with this as we are and have not read the books yet, and putting book spoilers in ruins it for them. If you see this soon, call me

   I think that is know pretty obvious that MaryAnn is the Maenad, but know I´m confused about Daphne too.

   I know she want´s to sacrifice Sam simbolizing the animal…

   But what is the purpose to all of it?

   I think on the last episode 6 Hard Harted Hannah we saw Egg´s a little bit confused and know I may think that his family was in some party like that and maybe where sacrifief cause he was lead to the ritual place followed by Tara.

   On tvguide.com the actress who plays MaryAnn confirmed that she was a Maenad…but what the heck is going on with Daphne?
