Who is behind Godric’s disappearance?
So the common assumption seems to be that the Fellowship Of The Sun 
is behind Godric’s disappearance. I am not too convinced. It looks like they made sure that the human co-traveller of the Compton party got drunk on the flight. By the way, I wonder if the delay of the flight was a pure coincidence or an insurance policy issued by Eric.
Leon tells Bill that he was hired by the Fellowship Of The Sun to abduct the human of the Compton party. They seems to be afraid to deal with the situation. Moreover, they don’t not include kidnapping Bill.
I wonder if the Fellowship Of The Sun really is behind Godric’s disappearance. Wouldn’t they be more triumphant? So far Steve Newlin coms across as a little boy who wants to play a vampire hunter. I don’t think he has ever seen a vampire up close and personal, let alone been involved in 
kidnappine of a vampire who seems to be one of the most powerful vampires ever.
I suspect The Fellowship Of The Sun wants to find out as badly about Godric’s whereabouts as Eric does. I could be completely wrong, but it sounds too convenient that they should be responsible.
I think it is more likely that some V dealers or even a syndicate involved with V is behind it. When Eric questioned Lafayette about his connections to Dallas his thoughts went in that direction. I think a party we may have not met yet might be behind Godric’s disappearance.
Maybe I just like weird theories.

I still think that is FOTS… sincerely but in this case I would like a surprise!
If the FSOTS is behind the disappearance of Godric it doesn’t look as if Steve is informed. He doesn’t come across as someone who just caught one of his most powerful enemies.
I dunno, but i’m getting suspicious about sarah, i think she might have a thing going behind steve’s back… just my guess tho
The Fellowship of the Sun was definitely behind the attempted-kidnapping of Sookie because the driver admitted to that but I don’t think that they’re capable of capturing such an old, wise and strong vampire as Godric because if they’re dumb enough to trust that driver to actually capture Sookie while she’s with vampires they couldn’t be smart enough to capture Godric. Maybe someone or some people we aren’t even aware of yet have him and they’re just distracting us with TFOTS. Or maybe the Fellowship has some secret weapon they aren’t making public that captured him. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
I think, hope not, but think that the whole FOTS focus could lead to a point where sookie and jason face off and are sort of enemies or against each other in one way or another.

Of course the FOTS kidnapped godrick in the fifth episode Steve and Sarah are talking. Sarah said she didnt agree and that Steve went over her head.

going along with the stories twists and turns i believe that a third or even 4 th party is godric’s abducturs and has cleverly laid the fellowship of the sun as their fall guy. its a bit fishy since leon knows it was the fellowship of the sun that hired him yet he has no name from them. just my 2 cents.

I believe in the book that he volunteered to meet the sun. He is underground at the FOTS. He had lived for so long he was tired of it all.
So his freedom was NEVER compromised? Why is Eric an exchange for Godric though? Thanks.

There is major differences between the books and TV show. In the books (Dead in Dallas), Eric never shows up at FOTS. So it’s quite a possibility that Godric won’t die, and his intentions may be different than from the book.
some very valid points are made here (jfd, vampire vincent, shawn marie). i believe that no matter how much they are playing up the Steve is more talk than action kind of character. he has a definite hand in godric’s disappearance, but i think more like accomplice. There is surely a power play going on with Stan, that’s obvious. Perhaps this twist, Stan and Steve through 3rd party of course have developed a plan to not only establish FotS as true saviors of humanity but also to allow Stan the power seat, so he then can double cross FotS by having a legitimate excuse to initiate conflict with them, just a thought.
I think Godric is in cahoots with FOTS- memba Eric saying if they could capture a vampire that is far more powerful than any other vampire…. Godric is over 2000 years old maybe he is just done being alive or maybe he wants to start the war and he believes his death is the key to doing so.

If Godric is the oldest then who is the judge that made Bill kill Jessica? I thought the magistrate was the oldest?
The magistrate can’t be the oldest, because there’s still the Queen O__o Wow, this is all very confusing. Hopefully, it will all be explained soon enough.

The magistrate is the most powerful in the States. I don’t think it was ever said that he is the oldest.

You are right, Godric in the books decides to end his existene. He is repentful and want to participate in a ritual of the FOTS and meet the sun.
Godric in the books is sexually attracted to children. Sookie muses that as a human he would be seen as a child molester and a serial killer. He himself thinks he needs to be put down.
The FOTS gets attacked in the mean-time by vampires, Godric escapes. He decides to meet the sun the followng say anyway. Sookie pays him the respect by witnessing his end.
Question: Why, with all of Bills blood that Sookie has drunk, does she not have the strength to over power someone ass weak as Steve? Jason drank just a couple of cc’s and threw Andy almost over his truck! If Bills maker “released” him, she shouldn’t have pull over him anymore, Does it not seem strange that Jessica can’t at leasat feel a “little” twinge of the despair and dread Bill has to be emitting just through the wall? Even as a new or young Vamp just the suprise of her walking through the door should give Bill the upperhand.
