Bill- killed a vampire to protect sookie knowing that it was against the law. and while dealing with his punishment he wanted nothing more then to return to her. he even begged eric to watch jessica so he could return to sookie. Every night they have together is romantic. anytime sookie was in trouble he came running. even in the daylight he tried to protect sookie. he truly loves her. he proposed to her. and you could tell how nervous he was when she had not said yes right away. he had a look like his heart had broke. and yes bill is possessive, but only because people like eric try to break him and sookie up and if i was him i would be possesive too. Eric is older then bill and so bill can do nothing to him. so how does bill protect his and sookies relationship? eric- did not love sookie, but saw her as a valueable item if turned vampire. Her telepathic ability proved to be unique. he never showed loving her one bit. like bill says, eric has had years in decieving. Eric's act of loveing sookie is nothing more then when he tricked sookie into sucking his blood. its all an act. He wants sookie to willingly become a vampier, so that she can be his and he can use her telepathic ability to her advantage. As for the dreams, eric had just lost his master and was terribly deppressed as any vampire would be, especialy of his age. I know from personal expierence that when something terrible happens in your life you want nothing more then to be held and loved. *SPOILERS*

I was really hoping to see Eric dress up and go to the orgy with Sookie and see the conflict when Bill showed up. I understand them changing some things but changing who staked Long Shadow, showing bill walk out in the daytime??? Like he could have done anything anyways when he got there. I just feel that they are completely betraying Erics charator in the show. I know personally after seeing the show I would vote for Bill via tv (even if later on they have the betrayal and rape) Now if we were talking about the books, I liked Eric before even Bills big betrayal, he was a lousy boyfriend and that just put it over the top. I mean how many of you would want a boyfriend that you have to keep asking out, never get any presents, I felt he was assamed of her and was just using her. I really hope in book ten Eric learns how to be a boyfriend as in dates and such, he's good with the listening and presents but is he going to be taking her out?
