Actually that is Sam and there is not two of him. You see, Sam is a shape shifter but he prefers to call it just plain shifters, anyway there is not two of Samhe just needs whatever to turn into around him and it just happened to be a dog that he takes form of. You’ll learn that later on. )

In epsiode 4 he was talking to the dog witch means he can’t be the dog, unless theres 2 of Sam. x]

2. they have to give you a lot of their blood
3. they must sleep beside you all day
4. and when you wake up they have to tell you what you are and give you the rules and take care of you until you are ready to be on your own.
