Oh lord I watched both Twilight and True blood. I should of watched true blood sooner. Like , vampires in true blood are strong and all but they have their ” weaknesses ” which is awesome. In twilight vampires SHINE under the light …wtf ? I like that true blood embraced the whole vampire myths and added things like the VB .
Anywho , Bill is HOT. Edward is cute but HAIRY and he has no abs. None whatsoever and he is supposed to be ‘’strong”.

before Gaylight Bill and Eric totally win,
accherly i think this is exacly like twilight some of the things are totally copied off of twilight but dunno which was made first so twilight could of copied true blood. but either way their both great programmes!
^ Uh, what? They’re literally nothing alike. Just because they both have vampires, doesn’t mean anything was snagged. True Blood vamps can’t go out into the sun, otherwise they die. True Blood is set in Southern America. And for the record, Twilight was far from the first book to feature a vampire/human relationship.
Besides, True Blood is based on a series of books. The first book was published in 2001. There, it was written first.
If anything, SMeyer snagged a load of plotlines herself.

Yeah i loved the twilight series, until i read the Sookie Stackhouse series hahaha. Ok the similarities are so incredibly minor that you can’t say anything was really ripped off because they’re two totally different stories. Besides we all know that there’s no originality let in the world. And i completely agree that Eric and Bill would kick twilight ass. I like True Blood way better because they’re not scared to get their hands a little dirty.
the only thing similar at all is they both have vamps, (altho true blood vamps are more traditional vamps, and faglight are gay emo vamps) and one character from each book has telepathy, that is it,
true blood isnt set in a “meangirls” emo highschool, the characters in the sookie stackhouse series are adult, and act like adults, and you dont have to read eighty pages of how frickin great edwards jawline is in sookies books,
everyone i know who has read both books agree that the sookie books are better.
and Eric would whip the crap outa Edward anyday of the week.

Why am I the only one concerned with “Rene” being the killer? Who cares about Twilight when this isn’t Twilight, it’s True Blood so stop comparing them, especially if you haven’t read them.

hey just in respnse to the nothing like twilight comment. i LOVE twilight and true blood. HOWEVER it is very clear were Meyer got some of her ideas.
1 – mind reading. okay its the human instaed of the vamp but its close enough
2 – the fact she cant hear vampires ( edward cant hear bella.)
3 – Jake is a shapeshifter who turns onto a dog. also sam
4 – bella has a love triangle between jake and edward. here it is sookie with bill and eric
5 – the vamp queen sounds kinda like the Volturi to me….
dont cyber kill me for the comment lol. i love both equally and am not saying she completley copied the idea as the storyline is a bit different but i fail to see how people could miss the similarites sayong the two are nothing alike…..

I dont really see how The Twilight series has anything to do with True Blood, apart from the obvious being some parts of the plotline.
This site is about True Blood and anyone who is looking for Twilight should look on another site.
I feel that this is slightly more adult and swings towards the older generation while Twilight swings more towards the teenagers looking for a really sappy romance.
Love both but True Blood is better.:)
