have’t read the books yet im not sure if i want to as i dont want to ruin the series as from what i’ve been told the books are better, and the series stray’s to far from the book, the did the same to Twilight, however from what i’ve seen New Moon is going to stay more true to the story line, hurray.
It is only Sunday morning in America at the moment so it tecnically hasn’t aired yet (even though it is Sunday night here in Australia already!). So it won’t air until Monday morning our time and usually appears on here by Monday night! Hope that helps!

Just with the spoilers the “bullet sucking” is from the book, so it’s a ‘maybe’ scene, the writers have done an excellent job in keeping the suspense and leading it a little away from the book, I can’t wait for this episode!

Does it seem to anyone else that Alan Ball is making Eric the “villian” and Bill the “hero”? Well, besides from the previously mentioned Lorena/Bill scene (DAMN YOU IMDB BOARDS WITH NO WARNING OF SPOILERS), everytime we see Eric he’s being a jerk, or an absolutely terrifying vase-throwing vampire (Why use your fangs, inhuman speed, and strength when you can just throw a perfectly innocent vase against the wall? Yeah, that’ll show ‘em.) Whilst Bill is either protecting Sookie/Jessica, having romantic screentime with Sookie, or glaring at Eric when he says something witty and deliciously innapropriate. Hmm.

I don’t mind all the twists and turns and added characters or story lines but Im not crazy about the changing of pivital moments in the books that lead to the rest of the series. I love the show and it makes it interesting but sometimes its hard to watch and not like the changes they have made.

Hey, thanks for posting the episodes, otherwise we’d have to wait another 3 – 6 months B4 Foxtel would get around to airing it here in Australia. I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, but could you use a video that doesn’t keep buffering every few seconds.
The female vamp at the end of ep 5 is Lorena, Bills Maker. According to the books we aren’t supposed to see Lorena until series 3 but I suppose Alan Ball is moving it along – I don’t mind this as long as Sookie ends up with Eric which is what happens in the books. Book 4 is great. Bill might love Sookie but he betrays her at least 3 times – he keeps important secrets and does the dirty on her with Lorena (child/maker bullcrap) and it’s the lies that Sookie objects to. No self-respecting woman would forgive lies about the important stuff.
Eric might be a bit of shit (not so much in the books as the series) but at least he doesn’t lie to Sookie and he loves her too as time goes by, he just won’t admit it. Everyone watching the show should read the books – it would answer a lot of the Q’s posted. By the way, Godric is not Eric’s Maker in the books.

well, what a strange episode. if they decide to follow the format of the book…well, we’ll just have to see.
I loved this episode but like a few have said some of it doesn’t go along with the books. Like Maryanne, her servant, Eggs, and Tara never live in her (Sookie’s) house. Also, Daphne doesn’t exist and Sam didn’t know Maryanne from the past. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the series. I can’t wait for episode 7!
To all those having trouble with the video buffering — load the video then hit pause for 15 or 20 minutes. Walk away and do something else. The video keeps streaming but is paused where you left it. Hit play again and you should be able to watch long stretches without buffering. If it starts buffering again — you need to hit pause again for 15 minutes or so. It’s not the best way to watch the episode but it beats watching 3 seconds of video at a time.
About Godric – possible spoiler, so don’t read if you don’t want to know:
In the books he [Godric] went to the FotS voluntarily because he wants to die and the Dallas vamps have a traitor in their midst which is how they knew a human telepath was arriving with the Compton party and its how Rev. Newland knew that Sookie and Hugo’s cover story was a fake.
Maryanne is a Maenard and she thrives on drunkeness and sex. She brings madness to those within her power. ShawnMarie is right – Sam was not involved in this plot in the book and Daphne didn’t exist.
Did anybody else think Ewww about Lorena and Bill killing the human couple in such a depraved way in 1926 and what was with the sex in the bloody sheets. Ewww again. Bills a bloody liar (no pun intended); he told Sookie he killed a couple of people in the beginning (when he 1st became a vamp) by accident. That scene 60 years after becoming a vamp did not look like any accident to me!

I think it’s Eric chained to the platform waiting to meet the sun rather than Godric (I might be wrong, but the promo was paced pretty fast). He [Eric] can’t die though because he is a primary character. It does look like Eric is in bed with Sookie – she’s in bed with a Blonde. Can’t wait for the bullet sucking scene; Eric in pink Lycra and Eric laying Sookie over the bonnet of his car with him on top of her – please, please Alan Ball give us what we want!

The fact is that some things are a lot more exciting in your own mind, and the people making the media version must improvise in order to make the story work and to attract viewers. It happens. We don’t need 50 counts of how Charlaine Harris does it. It’s going to be different, so please expect to see a different take on the original story, no matter how great the original is. Also, the spoilers are unnecessary. Thanks to those of you who put a disclaimer first, but those of you who don’t should at least add one, if you deem it completely necessary to post any spoiler material at all. Not that this post will make any difference.

About Comic Con. There is scene then Eric explains to Sookie about the bound between vampire and his maker, and he says to, that perhaps one day she’ll find out. So it means that Eric has got thoughts about Sookie as vampire?

this was one hell of an episode. I can’t wait til next week. I hope that Maryann is killed and everyone else will be able to go on with their lives without her. I think it’s awesome that Hoyt and Jessica are together, I wonder if she will turn Hoyt so that they can be together forever.
If “Eric” were real……………I’d kill him! I am REAL sick and tired of his whole “I want Sookie” power trip!!!! It’s about as irritating as in the books (which I’m starting to get fed up with; the 9th book pissed me OFF)!

As for people(like myself) who love the books, of course we are going to talk about it and wonder how its all going to turn out its only natural to do so. However yes I agree spoilers should be posted. It would cool I think if the admins could set up a seperate post for people to discuss the book in there only….then if you read that its really your own fault lol…just a suggestion.
Loved this episode! Im glad it was as intense as it was this week…last week was a bit flat.
I think the books are a unique thing all there own. I love how the series has pieces of the book but it’s really all their own. I couldn’t think of a more perfect example of taking one thing and really making it your own. Honestly if they fallowed the books 100% I doubt it would make it to season 2+. As a writer you have to write in order to get a large audience. You can’t make everyone happy.
These cliffhangers will be the death of me. Can’t wait for next week’s!
By the way, Hard-Hearted Hannah was the song Bill was singing in the beginning of the episode. I think someone asked that.

Am I the only one who thinks the vampires are unusually coloured? I mean Isabel (I believe the vampire who’s wearing white clothing is called) isn’t nothing close to white. That can really ruin the whole illusion for me.
