anyway, the queen has known bill — and eric for a looong time.
long time. i mean before sookie. so who knows why eric was making out with her. and bill WORKS for the queen.
in the book eric did go to bon temp to help, but sookie asked him to because bill was gone.
aaand she asked him to come to a PARTY.
but bill is already back on the show so that wont work.
im predicting that eric is doing it to get info from the queen.
at the end of the book bill came back and everything was okay.

Haha I loved the third book too. Everyone says the fourth book was the best, but so far I like 3 and 7. I’ve only read through 7 though.
book 3 is one of my fav too, even though i read this book later after book 7 ( I hate Bill’s infidelity..!!).

In this book eric begun to have deep feeling for sookie, he saved sookie’s live by risking his identity, supported her to find Bill, and always be there for sookie.
He’s sweet and gentle oventhough Sookie was still afraid and wary to him.
I don’t understand why he’s angry when sookie tried to save him and the clerk at the same time, was he jealous to human?.
I love the third book but book 9 and 7 are my favorites
i thought that four was amazing, three was really good too.
i dont like six and seven because i dont like quinn.
I didnt like quinn either. It irritated me that he called her babe for some reason. plus the whole time your thinking.. is something going to happen with eric? is he going to remember?

I think I hated the whole “babe” thing because it made him come across as condescending towards Sookie….
and by that point in the books series I was like “Sokkie? WTF?”
She’d survived being staked and beaten an million other horrors, proving what a strong woman she was and then she lets some bald headed prat call her babe and tell her what to do??? It didnt fit.
I guess that kind of goes along with some of Charlaine’s continuity issues. At least the author has admitted to having them.
Sookie dated Quin because she wanted to forget Eric, she still had felling for him but Eric still couldn’t resolve his feelling for sookie and he still don’t remember their time together.
Vampire hate to had feelling but Eric was so jealous when Quin picked her for date.
I know right. He like flipped when he realized she’s slept with him. And when she was dancing with Barry he almost RAGED right there on the dance floor. But when she was holding the bomb, there he was-there for her like always.

Plus, I’m sure Eric can sense her emotions by now and we all know Sookie’s moods must be off the roof. But geez, I wonder who dies? I hope it’s not Lafeyette. I love that boy.
I dont think Eric and the Queen are really “fooling around.” Didn’t she say that she hasn’t wanted to sleep with a man for decades? She’s into women, so I dont think they are sexually involved. Her being all over him is more likely due to the fact that she is Crazy with a capital C.

in the book the meanad didnt die she was satisfyed with her ‘tribute’ and moved on. tara is one of the only ones who survives, eggs dies.
keep in mind they have changed alot already this might not happen.

I really don’t like the queen, she’s not like she’s supposed to be-from the book.
Everyone else they kept pretty close to the books, but her it’s almost like they re-wrote her completely.
She’s supposed to look like she’s 16, she supposed to dress up, make herself look older. She’s not nearly as insane as they are making her out to be.
**poss spoilers?***I think Lafayette is going to get killed….I really like him but according to the books he was the one that was found inside Andy’s car in Merlotte’s parking lot, they already kept him in the series too long. Also, what was up with Jason looking at his gun like he was feeling guilty he shot someone? What was up with that egg on the bed from episode 11? Maryann will not get killed if they are going by the book…she just leaves after she is satisfied with her sacrifice. I also think that the Queen is pissed off at Bill that he actually fell in love with Sookie and now she wants revenge by getting Eric to “spill the beans” about Bill’s true reason for going to Bon temps and finding Sookie. We all Know she didnt want him to leave her Pool Party and didnt understand Bill’s affection for Sookie…..

Even for a Maenad, human sacrifice is typically a purification or fertility ritual and in MaryAnne’s case she wants to die and that transcendence can be seen as a union between her and the horned god. I agree tho it is pretty campy.

Can’t wait for this one. I have to wait till the Monday afternoon, coz I live in Australia, but it’s well worth the wait. I lve True Blood, but there are some things I wish Alan Ball had kept in the TV show that were in the books, especially a certain scene with a viking vampire in pink lycra

Why would it be Lafayette or Andy or anyone without any Supernatural powers? I thought that they “prefered” people with Supernatural powers to be the sacrifice? I don’t think we’d get all that information that the Queen gave out for it to be a human. I don’t think Maryann would be too happy with a normal human either, it seems shes quite the perfectionist.
But they won’t kill Sam, he’s too much apart of the story in a lot of the other books, so I don’t know at all. Maybe it’ll be Eggs!

i think, that the queen wants bill to do the project, but since he’s so attached to sookie, he’ll probably try to refuse. The queen wants eric to either break them up, or blackmail bill. that’s what i’m guessing. the queen probably couldn’t do it herself, because
1. She doesn’t have the time
2. Sookie doesn’t know her and won’t believe stuff she says
3. the queen needs sookie later, so she won’t directly hurt her now and make a bad impression.
4. the queen likes sookie’s cousin, hadley.

there is actually two projects…..
one was to watch sookie and keep her under his thumb. which meant SEDUCING her if he had to. (effect: future break-up!)
2.i have no idea why eric is visiting the queen.
3.the queen whould NEVER do it herself. look how she lives!
4. the queen will use sookie later.
5.Hadly gets turned — to a vamp — and then she dies again. (effect: mysterie on our hands!)

The True Blood drink doesn’t come out until next weekend which is the reason for the wait. They wanted the viewers to be able to enjoy the drink while watching the finale so we’re waiting on the drinks, not the finale.

Anyone think Eggs will be the one to die? I mean, Maryanne killed Daphne when she was no longer of any use to her, so who’s to say she’ll leave Eggs to be with Tara when she leaves or gets killed, which I doubt will happen but you never know what the writers may have in store for the one whom convinced herself she was immortal. If I was a writer for True Blood I would probably try to convince her that she COULD be killed, and then kill her xD Anyway, I’m not a huge fan of Eggs, so if he dies I don’t think I’ll mind much until Tara gets depressed and angry again. The actor has another role lined up for “The Deep End” as well, if that’s any indication. Which it might just be.
And thank you so much for this site by the way. Where I live I don’t get HBO so if I didn’t watch it here I probably wouldn’t at all!

ok, so I’m thinking of a few possibilities of what happend to Bill at the end.
It COULD be Eric like he said he would get Bill or something after they played yatzi or whatever, that could make sense.
It COULD also be Lorena which would make the most sense and follow the books, of course she has motives.
It COULD be the queen herself which I highly doubt but she does want Bill out of the picture.
And the least likely scenario is Mari-anne. Now i know she died BUT sookie or tara or somebody I cant remember said they have a bad feeling that shes not dead or something or rather.
A year, to wait and find out.

I agree with Brenda, the queen is only 500yrs old and Eric is 1000yrs old, I have a feeling that the size difference references the size of the actors actual teeth under the “rubber” fangs. The structure of their original teeth would make for the differences. Remember at ComICon the “Jessica” was talking about how the rubber fangs would pop off, the also have acrylics like a veneer………
i know the tv show and the books are very different, i respect that. but if theyre following the basic plot i wish they wouldnt make bill seem so nice! i mean, he’s a dick. and that marriage prosal!? should be far from !

Highly doubt that Bill is killed. That would ruin the whole dynamics of the triangle about to ensue. I am sure the abduction was prompted by Eric, wheather it is Eric, Chow, Pam or Lorena we will have to wait for that answer. The gloves just show that it’s a Vampire because of the silver chain. Only lorena and Eric are stronger than Bill I believe so… if Eric took Bill, I am sure he has called in Lorena once again to help, Also, Longshadow has a coffin @ the bar which could be silver sealed to keep Bill hidden away in plain sight. Wouldn’t that be worse as we all know Sookie and Eric are eventually going to have their go, but with Bill there but helpless, that would be the greatest insult ever.
After reading the books, only the director knows whats next. Apart from SOME characters are in the next episode, And did I hear right that Jason called Andy (the detective) Bubba??? how rubish is that. Will still watch as I guess they say based on !!!!!!!!! (but obviosly not true to the books) Charlaine Harris novels

I love/hate the cliff hangers of this show but man o man I have say I did like this episode … Now I haven’t readthe books … and I probably wont until they end this show for good. But so far I’m loving True Blood and I’m super excited for the next season.

The series is straying more from the books with each new episode. What is this proposal?? Bill is supposed to have run off with Lorena before he got abducted… does that mean that Bill & Sookie will stay together for the whole series? I’m a little disappointed here…

maybe he was upset that sookie delayed and ran to her to “be with his own kind” i think it might end up like the book (hint hint ERIC AND SOOKIE) but get there in a different way to make it more interesting for the audience and give him a proper reason to go to her

I have to say that I was disappointed with this episode. It didn’t leave at a good point and I dislike how Bill proposed to Sookie.
He didn’t even propose to her in the books. It’s flippin frustrating.
And there wasn’t enough Eric in this episode.
I can’t wait for Season 3 because I agree with several others that it will be Eric trying to get closer to sookie.

By the way, I read somewhere they haven’t started filming the 3rd season yet, they have a contract up for it though. So, right now all is good. I think they said they are going to be filming around the end of this year to next year. And yes, we have to wait until next fall, most likely. Well, thats tv shows for you.
Too bad Eric wasn’t in this one alot.. Oh well, hopefully he keeps his hairstyle like that. I would hate to see it get shorter or longer (like the 1st season, it was dreadfully horrible.. He became noticeable and sexy in this season.. so hopefully it stays the same)

i agree not enough Eric was shown but im sure we will get enough Ericness in the next season to account for that (well just about anyway)
I dont know about anyone else but i think its a good idea to have the story go one way and the tv version another.. That way we kind of have two versions of the same world dont get me wrong im team snarkypants (eric) all the way but i enjoy watching the tv series because it expands on all the story characters and it gives you fresh new plots to an already existing story like what ifs…
and anyway if they stook to the story on every line we would know what to expect and it will be twilight all over again ¬.¬ (still team jasper-kins mind you but dont get me started with that)
So i like how we see into other characters every day lives like tara and jason and hoyt and the new characters like jessica it keeps it fun to watch.
Furthermore HBO change storylines on purpose because they know us from Harrisarmy can imagine the book better in our heads rather then there replica on screen!

Ahhhhhh!!! (screaming very loudly) It has been almost three weeks since the last true blood episode. I am going through Eric Northman withdrawal. The Vampire Diaries are great and all but no matter how cute, sexy, and good looking Stefen and Damian are, no one can beat Alexander Skarsgard. Does any one know where I can watch some of his other work? I’ve already seen Generation Kill and loved it. HBO is the best.
