In the books – Sookie is “rented” out to find a missing vampire in Dallas. I dont recall the missing vamp to a “sheriff” but I could be wrong.
Why are we not seeing the show for 2 weeks – I cant find anything that says it wont be on.

According to the HBO Tv guide True Blood is on 5th July.
So what I can think is that this site will not be adding it until the 12th.
no the ones on the 5th are all reruns i checked.

so we have to wait a whole week? …
I think that the reason they are torturing us like this is because episodes 4 and 5 (which BOTH air on the 12th) are an episode arc in Dallas, and they want to put them back to back, and end episode 5 back in Bon Temps. I think they just didn’t think it would work for the audience to spend two weeks in dallas (Oh, how they underestimate the truefans!) and so they put them together to make it more like a film. That’d be my guess.
it should air on the original date if its sunday, today, saturday is the 4th of july which is a holiday tomorrow is the 5th so its all good to go
No offense or anything, but I don’t think not wanting to leave the audience in Dallas for two weeks is the reason why they would skip a Sunday and air both episodes next week…. everyone knows the show always ends on cliffhangers, and what could be a better cliffhanger than having more complications thrown at Sookie and Bill that leaves them stranded in a new city and unable to finish their task?
I’m guessing it is something more practical…. there was a delay of some kind in the studio, and they weren’t able to get the whole thing done by Sunday. Not in the sense that one actor was sick and couldn’t show up for a week or something (they most likely already have the season finale taped by now), but something to do with the editing process.
I dunno, just a thought
I agrre with what you said about the cliffhanger in this show. Just think about how season 1 ended.

True Blood does air tonight but it is Episode 3, Scratches. It has a regularly scheduled time and they are just playing the old episode.

There’s the schedule. Although True Blood DOES air tonight, it will only be a re-run of last week’s episode. Everyone will have to wait until next week to see the fourth episode.
I checked on the hbo schedule and the next one isn’t going to air until the 13th and I only see one episode listed….

Anyone notice they re-ran Hung as well? This tells me it has nothing to do with trueblood but the fact that ratings may not be as high because it’s fourth of july weekend and a lot of viewers will be pre occupied with family functions or too tired as a result of them.
I personally am upset with HBO because as a true fan, I would never miss the episode and if by chance I did I could look forward to a re-run much sooner then July 12th!!

I don’t know if America is the same as Australia, but what Chris says seems right. If there is a public holiday over here in Aus, the show will skip a week, they don’t want the risk of losing ratings to the holiday.

For those unaware of how tv is done, all episodes are already recorded and the only editing at this point is preparing it for DVD, Tv stations take breaks on new episodes all the time, just look at the WB or CW now, they have there own reasons dont fret, and wait, it wont kill you.

Well the word fingerpop has no official meaning but fingerpop was a single released by the new zealand band Garageland in 1996. I hope that helps

I love this episode. I think that Eric is hot and giving Lafayette his blood was pretty cool even if he has a motive behind his actions. I love Jessica, she seems like she’s going to be a fun vamp.
